APPLICATIONS
Ultimate File Manager (UFM) is an advanced File Manager (package that extends the functionality of File Manager) distributed with carefully selected and configured freeware applications. The purpose of UFM project is making the best environment to run your favourite applications within one place. Main application of the project is well-known and appreciated Total Commander File Manager (shareware) or its freeware equivalent Multi Commander. UFM lets you manage all of your files and applications in best and simplest way. Ultimate File Manager includes internal applications that extend its functionality by performing various unusual activities. INTERNAL APPLICATIONS
Ultimate File Manager consists of many components that work together. Total Commander file manager (or its free equivalent Multi Commander) is the central and most important component. Their work is complemented by special applications that ensure the correct operation of the entire project. Each of them is designed for a specific use, performing strictly defined tasks. UFM LAUNCHER
UFM Launcher (UFM.exe/UFM64.exe) is Ultimate File Manager project launcher application. Its main task is to launch the appropriate file manager with the appropriate boot options (handling command line parameters, loading configuration files, checking for updates and promoting the project).

UFM ELEVATOR
UFM Elevator (Elevator.exe) is UFM internal application that allows you to run a given program with administrator privileges. Administrator privileges allow you to make changes to the system that may affect all other users. UFM Elevator application allows to elevate privileges for those programs that require higher privileges to function properly (using User Account Control mechanism).

UFM SETTINGS
UFM Settings (Settings.exe) is UFM internal application that allows you to configure Ultimate File Manager project. With this simple and intuitive application, you can view basic project information, customize the selected file manager, set the display language, configure all UFM applications, etc.

UFM UPDATER
UFM Updater (Updater.exe) is UFM internal application that allows you to check for Ultimate File Manager project updates. The program notifies you about the availability of a new version and allows you to download and install it.

UFM SHELL INTEGRATION
UFM Shell Integration (ShellIntegration.exe) is UFM internal application that allows you to integrate Ultimate File Manager with Windows. You can integrate UFM with Windows Shell, add Autorun and AutoPlay entries, create shortcuts in the Start Menu and Taskbar, create shortcuts and application files associations.

UFM APP MANAGER
UFM App Manager (AppManager.exe) is UFM internal application that allows you to run files from the Windows Shell (File Explorer) in application that handles a given type of file. You can easily and quickly open a selected directory, run (use the F3 key in the TC) or edit (use the F4 key in the TC) a given file type in the selected application.

UFM CLIPBOARD MANAGER
UFM Clipboard Manager (ClipboardManager.exe) app is a part of Ultimate File Manager project. It allows you to manage Windows Clipboard data. The Clipboard is a temporary storage area for data (text, images, etc) that is being transferred from one location to another. It is typically used for copying and pasting information between different applications.

UFM APPINFO
UFM AppInfo (AppInfo.exe) is UFM internal application that allows you to display information about the Ultimate File Manager project and display the most important information about a specific application (you can, among other things, view information about the version, author, copyright, license and a short description along with the application icon). It also allows you to display Ultimate File Manager promotion information.

UFM NEWDIR
UFM NewDir (NewDir.exe) is UFM internal application that allows you to create files or directories with Total Commander file manager (replaces built-in mechanism). UFM NewDir works in three modes - File (creating files), Directory (creating directories) and List (advanced creating many files and directories according to predefined lists). To create a file or directory in the source panel, press the F7 key (SHIFT + F4 for files), and to create it in the target panel, press the SHIFT + F7 key combination.

UFM SYSINFO
UFM SysInfo (SysInfo.exe) is UFM internal application that allows you to provide basic information about your computer in an accessible way. Program displays all relevant information about the hardware and basic software information.

UFM HASH
UFM Hash (Hash.exe) app allows you to generate Hash/Checksum values based on a string or file using many different algorithms. Hash is a mathematical function that converts an input of arbitrary length into an encrypted output of a fixed length. Checksum is a calculated value that is used to determine the integrity of data.

UFM MENU BUILDER (TOTAL COMMANDER)
UFM Menu Builder (TCBuilder.exe) is UFM internal tool that allows you to dynamically create Menu Configuration files (.MNU and .INI file extensions), Button Bars (.BAR) and Directory Hotlist file (.INI) of Total Commander file manager. This tool is called during installation to create files for all supported languages. The number and type of files created depend on the type of installation, selected configuration options and operating system.

UFM MENU BUILDER (MULTI COMMANDER)
UFM Menu Builder (MCBuilder.exe) is UFM internal tool that allows you to dynamically create menu configuration files (.XML files) and button bars (.XML) of Multi Commander file manager. UFM LANG SWITCHER
UFM Lang Switcher (LangSwitcher.exe) is UFM internal tool that allows you to change the display language of Ultimate File Manager. UFM Lang Switcher is called from the main menu (Configuration) of the Total Commander file manager. The trouble-free change of the language of the entire UFM is possible thanks to the change of the appropriate configuration files depending on the current settings and the type of installation.

UFM POWER
UFM Power (Power.exe) is UFM internal tool that allows you to handle the computer's power functions. It is called from the main menu (Power) of the selected file manager. You can perform a number of actions related to your computer power. These include the following actons: Log Off, Reboot, Shut Down, Power Off, Standby, Hibernate, Lock Workstation and Turn Off Monitor.

UFM FOLDERID
UFM FolderID (FolderID.exe) is UFM internal tool that allows you to open special folders in the Windows user profile namespaces using the menus and buttonbars in the Multi Commander file manager. Identifiers that describe standard system-registered folders (Known Folders) and Environment Variables are supported.

UFM Install Manager (InstallManager.exe) is a tool that creates Ultimate File Manager installer along with all the necessary configuration files. It is a central application that carries out all project compilation tasks as well as compilation of all internal applications and tools. These tasks include primarily preparing and parsing installation scripts, compiler settings, setting compilation options, compiling applications and tools, creating help files and compiling the UFM installer itself.
